Brighton Photo Fringe is a vibrant event that engages with photographers, lens-based artists and a diverse public audience. Every two years Brighton Photo Fringe coordinates a city-wide festival of exhibitions and events in conjunction with Brighton Photo Biennial.

Continuing to grow and expand, this year’s festival includes over 120 exhibitions and spreads as far as Hastings and Chichester. Open to anyone who wants to take part, Brighton Photo Fringe increases access to and participation in high quality
photographic exhibitions, projects and events. 

Appearing in every corner of the city, this year’s exhibitions include:
Nothing is in the Place a curatorial project by Jason Evans; Uprooting the Gaze: foreign places familiar patterns curated by Christine Eyene; Closer by Stuart Griffiths; Lewis’s Fifth Floor: A Department Store by Stephen King; Live in Translation by Tatsumi
Orimoto; MAGGIE by Lisa Barnard; New Work by Simon Roberts; The Street Photographer by Brown&Bri; and a series of exhibitions across Hastings and St Leonards, in partnership with the Photo Hub Group.
